The latest book by local historian Neil Wright will be launched in the Guildhall Museum on Saturday 18th September 2021 as part of the Boston Book Festival. This book is “Boston in 50 Buildings” which relates the stories of fifty amazing buildings from all periods of the town’s history, from St Botolph’s magnificent parish church to the monumental Pilgrim Hospital, with many in-between. It adds new information on some prominent buildings, and also draws attention to some less well known buildings such as the quirky Church House in Wormgate, the hidden-away Gliderdrome at the end of Shodfriars Lane, and the red brick home of William Wheeler in London Road. Through a wide range of structures, from churches to pubs and warehouses to banks, here are the buildings and landmarks that reveal Boston’s development across the centuries

Copies of the book can be purchased at the launch in the Guildhall, price £15.99, and will be signed by the author between 11am and 2pm on 18th Septembe
